Chris Marobella and I took in dino-rockers Genesis last night at the Boston Garden 2.0 and, as aging dino-rockers ourselves, completely enjoyed the return to the band’s prog-rock roots. Now, I know you’re thinking “Nerds!” And not without cause. Genesis is probably among the most maligned bands of the ’80s.
Who needs an iPhone when there’s this?

Lately this iPhone thing from Apple is getting a ton of hype for reasons I don’t quite understand. It’s a phone that plays porn or something like that, which I guess is pretty cool, but hardly justifies having to use AT&T as your wireless provider. As some of you may know, Apple’s stock has skyrocketed [...]

New Wayland Police Officer Jennifer Ordway gets help from her stepmother Deborah Ordway, a longtime sergeant on the Wellesley police force, at her swearing in ceremony last month. (Town Crier)

Don’t fear the cell towers (or witches!)

See up North here in Salem we have great reception. Our drivers can use their cell phones ALL THE TIME! Because like phone poles we have a cell tower every 100 yards.
We’re still waiting to see what the effects of all that electrostatic stuff will do to our bodies. I say there’s nothing to worry [...]

Cellphone reception in Wayland is awful. You can drive down Rice Road and suddenly – “Can you hear me now?” Hell, no. This is because Wayland, like Weston, has managed to hold off the evils of cellphone towers. Dagnabbit – those things are tall! Not In My Backyard!
Safran-Green Tryst Revealed In Yearbook Inscription!

While fashioning my earlier post, my vast network of sources obtained Steve’s 1983 Reflector yearbook and discovered what Meira really wrote. Seems that once again Safran was attempting some sort of spin when he posted the doctored yearbook message. Here, in all it’s fascinating glory, is what Meira really wrote in Steve’s yearbook:

The Summer-Ruiner Strikes Again!

Always eager to at least attempt to trash somebody’s summer, Miera wrote this little gem in my 7th grade yearbook:

Meira didn’t just call me “queer,” she chose to call me “really queer.” The question of “queer-gay” or “queer-odd” lingers, as I’ve been called both—especially by the always delightful Wayland populace.
Reading Steve’s iTunes playlist, invaded by his children’s Shrek 2’s soundtrack, struck a chord with me. My sons are constantly intruding onto my computer, my iPod, my cell phone, etc. They even have me staking out my local video store.

This afternoon, after wondering around BlockBuster, I picked two movies and went to pay for them:
